Advertising Standards Bureau

The Advertising Standards Bureau (ASB) administers Australia's national system of advertising self-regulation in relation to both public and competitor complaints. This is achieved through the independent complaints resolution processes of the Advertising Standards Board and the Advertising Claims Board (the Boards). The ASB is secretariat for the Boards.

The self-regulatory system recognises that advertisers share the common interest of promoting consumer confidence in and respect for general standards of advertising.

The ASB has an important role in the system of advertising self-regulation and also aims to promote the work of the Boards.
